About Timea Presley

Timea Presley is a Pilates Teacher Trainer, Master Instructor, and former professional dancer specializing in Post-Rehabilitation Conditioning and Injuries and Special Populations management with over 25 years of global experience in teaching, managing, and innovating Pilates programs. Timea has dedicated her career to helping clients optimize their physical well-being, whether through private sessions, group classes, or specialized seminars offered both in-person and online.

During her tenure at the Washington Ballet she was recognized as “a creative teacher who provides a safe space to explore a side of Pilates that few truly understand.”

Timea is a graduate of STOTT Pilates, Polestar Pilates, and Yoga in the Sivananda tradition, Barre Method and Spinning. Her STOTT Pilates certifications include advanced-level expertise in Pilates Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Stability Chair, Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector, Arc Barrel, Injuries and Special Populations. She is a Post Rehabilitation Conditioning Specialist. She has specialized training in fall prevention, osteoporosis management, scoliosis management, breast cancer rehabilitation, hyper mobility, stabilization and function of the knee, pre-natal Pilates, diastasis recti management, optimization of the limbo pelvic region, optimization of the shoulder complex, principles of stabilization, postural analysis, the 5 basic principles explained, athletic conditioning, jumpboard interval training, V2Max Plus programming, Pilates history and compassionate inquiry.

Timea’s Pilates journey began in the early 2000s when she founded and managed her own Pilates studio in Berlin. After moving to the United States in 2005, she took on leadership roles as Mind Body Program Director, Pilates Program Director and Head Instructor in Washington, DC, while also teaching at prestigious institutions like the Smithsonian, World Bank, IMF, and the FBI..

Before her work in Pilates, Timea was a professional Modern and Contemporary Dancer in Budapest and Berlin, where she was first introduced to Pilates. She studied at the Budapest University of Contemporary Dance and Freie Universität Berlin, bringing a wealth of artistic and movement experience to her Pilates practice.

Beyond her professional life, Timea remains passionate about Pilates, healthy living, and lifelong learning. She enjoys exploring books and lectures, attending theater performances, and staying active through long walks and bike rides.
