Welcome to the Presley Pilates Teacher Training

We are dedicated to preparing you for a successful and fulfilling career as a Pilates instructor. Throughout the program, your personal interests and goals will guide our journey together. Every question is welcomed—our open dialogue ensures you gain clarity in the moment and feel confident applying your new skills right away.

Our mission is to equip you with both knowledgeable and creative approaches to meet the diverse needs of clients, whether in private sessions or group classes—all while honoring the original framework established by Joseph Pilates.

This training is also an excellent resource for physical therapists, fitness professionals, and instructors looking to integrate Pilates into their work. Additionally, it offers a valuable deep dive for Pilates enthusiasts who wish to enrich their own practice and develop a comprehensive understanding of the Pilates method.

The program is available in person and/or via live Zoom sessions to suit your learning preferences.

The Four Modules


The Presley Pilates 500 hour comprehensive teacher training curriculum is divided into four modules and can be taken in the following order:

  • Mat course, exam and certificate (125 hours plus exam)

  • Reformer course, exam and certificate (125 hours plus exam)

  • Tower & Cadillac course, exam and certificate (125 hours plus exam)

  • Chair & Barrels course, exam and certificate (125 hours plus exam)​


Each module covers specific equipment and exercises and is scheduled separately. Each of the 125 hour long modules include:

  • Course work (24 hours)

  • Personal practice (34 hours)

  • Practice teaching (34 hours)

  • Observation (33 hours)   


After completion of all requirements an exam can be scheduled separately. 

Application Process

Please consult with us and follow the below steps to start the application process to your first module with Presley Pilates. 

1. Let's meet! Schedule a private session and a free Teacher Training consultation (online, or in person).

2. Complete the Application Form. 

3. Complete the Enrollment Contract. 

​4. Complete the Medical Release Form.

5. Provide a professional letter of reference.

6. Sign up for a Student Liability Insurance, or choose another insurance policy.

7. Confirm start date and plan the schedule with us.

8. Complete registration with payment.

Student Liability Insurance
As you work towards your certification, liability insurance is required to protect yourself in case of accidents. Presley Pilates can suggest a student liability insurance that matches our requirements.

Course Requirements

Personal Practice
Students can start recording and accumulating personal practice hours once the course started. Accepted forms of personal practice hours include taking private and group sessions, practicing the movement sequences of the course at home, or practicing by following selected video materials.

Practice Teaching
Recorded teaching hours taught after the start date of the course count towards practice teaching. You can practice teach by instructing a friend, a family member, or as an apprentice instructor in a studio. 

Observation
Students can schedule observation hours in a Pilates studio, or watch selected content on video. Observation hours can be started and counted after the beginning date of the course.

Presley Pilates Certification
Our program offers an assessment-based certificate of completion, based on the recommendations of the Pilates Method Alliance. Upon finishing all of the requirements including written and practical exam, the Presley Pilates Teacher Certificate will be awarded to recognize mastery of  the curriculum. 

National Pilates Certification Exam
The National Pilates Certification Exam is the not-for-profit, professional association and certifying agency dedicated to the teachings of Joseph H. and Clara Pilates. Their mission is to foster community, integrity, and respect for diversity; establish certification and continuing education standards; and promote the Pilates method of exercise. Students who successfully complete examinations for all four Presley Pilates Teacher Training modules, and receive full certification for our 500 hour program are eligible to register for the National Pilates Certification Exam.

Bridge Program
Students who have completed a part of a Pilates training program through other organizations and are interested in obtaining further training, should contact us to inquire about our bridge program. We may offer full or partial credit towards our courses and certification.
